Kendal is FINALLY home!

We finally got the call that our daughter Kendal, that we have been waiting for for almost a year, was ready to travel. We spent a wonderful week in South Korea and brought home a beautiful little girl.

 Our first morning in Seoul we got to go to her foster family's house to meet her and play with her. It was so fun to finally see her in person, hear her babble, and laugh at her mannerisms.

Chuck thinks the look in her eyes is foreshadowing of things to come from her little attitude.

The next day we had the entire day free so we did some sightseeing. We went to Namsan Tower which is an observation tower on top of a mountain in the middle of the city. We rode a cable car to the base of the tower and then an elevator to the observation area.

 It was so amazing to see how big the city actually is. Seoul has the 2nd largest population in the world.

On Wednesday we got to have another visit with Kendal. She wasn't as scared of us this time, but she really didn't want to be by us either. When we would try to hold her she would wiggle away and go back to her foster mom.

 Because Jessica and I are "so adventurous" when it comes to eating food in Korea we decided to try Korean cereal. We found it to be very tasty and similar to something we had eaten before.

The subway in Seoul is easy to use and we ride it a lot when we're there. We like being able to get on and go anywhere in the city quickly and easily.

On Thursday we got Kendal for good. We have done this 3 times now and it doesn't get any easier to say goodbye to the foster family. Her foster parent's were amazing and loved her so much. It was hard to watch them say goodbye, but we are so thankful for all that they did for her.

 Here we are at the guest house apartment where we stayed. She did a great job adjusting to us and had a very smooth transition.

She did great on the plane...she was a happy girl and played and slept a lot.

Our family of 5 finally all together! We are so thankful for all the blessings God has given our family.
