Our tradition is for the boys to open 2 gifts on Christmas Eve. One is new pajamas and the other is a new ornament for the tree. I try to find an ornament that is meaningful in some way based on the events of the past year.

Cooper as reached the point of being obsessed with airplanes. He got 7 airplanes and an airport and was a VERY happy boy.
He played with them for a while...
...and then I caught him just sitting and looking at them all.
Kayla was excited to get a toaster...wait no, it was really a purse.
Kayla requested a purple hat (of course she had a certain one in mind) so Grandma decided to save some money and make her one with some purple yarn she happened to have laying around. It wasn't exactly what Kayla had in mind.
Here is the real one that Kayla wanted and Grandpa got excited because he has one that matches.
Since we have not had much snow, but have had cold temps the ice on the lake was great for skating. So in the afternoon most of us bundled up and had a great time on the ice.

Great pics! Looks like a fun Christmas! I can't believe how old Kayla and Jess have gotten! I guess we've been gone for a long time.
Oh, and are those footie jammies you have on, Teri? I think you need to bring those on our next vacation! Although they may be a little too warm for a cruise. ;)
