Our time in Ohio

We spent last weekend in Ohio and we were very busy. After we arrived on Thursday night we went to Uncle Alan and Aunt Judy's house for dinner. We had a great time with them and the boys had lots of fun.

Uncle Alan drew a chalk outline of Cooper and when he was done Cooper said, "it's a me."

They had told us we could bring the boys bathing suits so they could go in the hot tub. As Carson says - "we went swimming!" They had a great time splashing around and going under and - well - swimming.

Of course Aunt Judy remembered Carson's birthday and she had a special cake for him for dessert. Do you see the frog on it? That's a rubbery toy frog, right on his cake...Carson thought that was really funny.

On Friday we went down to Southern Ohio with Grandma and Grandpa to visit Chuck's Grandparents and his Uncle Rodger who was in town from Florida. It was good to see them all again and we had a good day.

Grandpa got out Great-Grandpa's tractor and took the boys for rides...of course they loved that.

visiting Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa

It was a long tiring day

On Saturday Grandma and Grandpa and his cousin Nate took Carson to pick out his birthday present. He got to pick out cowboy boots. They said he was really excited when they got to the store and they told him what he got to do.

He tried on this pair of boots and then he found the hat. But these were not the right boots so he tried on a few more until he found the right ones...

Snake skin boots and a hat (from Uncle Chris and Aunt Jessica) to go with them

having a good time eating ice cream and spending time with Nate.

Since I knew that he was going to get boots this weekend, I packed along his bandanna, gun and holster...cutest cowboy I've ever seen.

When they went out to play football, he wouldn't take his boots off and then he decided he needed a helmet to play football so he went and got his bike helmet. So here he is playing football in cowboy boots and a bike helmet....makes sense right?

every cowboy needs a cowdog

Saturday night the whole family was together and we celebrated Carson's birthday. So more presents and more cake.

Aunt Judy made another cake and this one had a turtle on it.

Looks like fun! And Chad and I can't get over how much Carson looks like Big Rig in those pics with his cowboy hat and boots. Hahaha :)
