Weekend getaway
My Dad asked if we wanted to camp in their backyard this past weekend and of course we agreed. We enjoyed 3 full days of swimming and playing in the water and we had a wonderful time.
The boys are doing a great job swimming this year. Carson likes practicing without his life jacket and Cooper is learning to trust his jacket and swim by himself.

Cooper also learned to jump off the dock. He really liked it until he went a little too far down the dock and his head went under the water when he jumped...that was the end of jumping for that day.
Grandpa likes to take the boys kayaking...Cooper rides with him and he ties a rope to the other kayak and pulls Carson behind him...

On Monday we took our lunch out in the boat and after we ate we jumped off the boat and played in the water out in the middle of the lake.

I took Cooper skiing...he sat on my lap and wrapped his arms around mine and I held him up with my arms. He was scared at first, but then after we got up he giggled and laughed the whole time. He loved it.

Carson has been playing on the kneeboard a lot this summer, but he has been scared to try going behind the boat. Jess offered to go with him to be next to him and help him learn so he was excited about that and said he would try it.
We took off and he did great. He balanced and held on and didn't fall at all. When they got done, he was SO excited that he had done it. He said "I LOVE kneeboarding!" Then they had to go again for another time around.
