The first day we went to Traverse City for the Cherry Festival air show which featured the Navy Blue Angels.
We had a picnic lunch while we waited.
The kids played in the sand while we waited. Then finally the air show started. The Blue Angels were awesome!
We checked out the beach club and had a great time on a wonderfully warm, sunny day. However some of our group got swimmers itch from this lake so we did not go back.
We played a little baseball.
We went to the outdoor pool one evening. The day had been cool and rainy, but it said it was a heated pool so we thought we would try it. The water was very warm and it felt so good with the cold air.
There were a few people in the pool as we were walking down to it and they promptly got out and started drying off. We aren't sure why, but think it might have something to do with the thought of this group converging on the pool area. It was very nice to have the entire pool to ourselves.
We played more baseball.
The house was on the 12th hole of the resort golf course and this is how close the golfers were to us.
We found some hiking trails not far away and checked them out on a day that was a little colder.
Kendal learned to swim (as she says) "without no one touching me" and as you can see she was very excited and proud of herself.
We went to a near by town for ice cream one night and they were having a farmer's market and street entertainers. The kids really liked their balloon hats.
Another day at a beach...this time in Elk Rapids.
We put all the kids in age order...
...and then thought, why not the adults too - although Chuck thinks it is maturity order.
