Cooper's bike

We got Cooper a new bike with no training wheels for his birthday and he was not very excited about it. He asked why he had to learn to ride a bike, told us he didn't want to and claimed we were forcing him to learn. We encouraged him to try and told him how much fun he would have once he could do it all on his own. He didn't believe us, but tried a few times right after he got it.

Then one day a few weeks later, we were both inside and looked out to see Cooper riding his bike all by himself. He had just decided to work at it and figured out how to get started, stay balanced and go. We were very excited for him, but it was more fun to see his excitement and pride in knowing he had done it. For the next few days he would ask to ride his bike often and then tell me about how much fun it was and how he loved to ride...kind of what we had been telling him. :)
