It was a big day around here on Saturday. The boys each had their first flag football game of the season AND it was Carson's 9th birthday!
Before the games they announce each player's name as he runs through the tunnel and fog...and I have 5 more weeks to try to do better with the timing of the pictures.
It was very special that the week Uncle Chris, Aunt Jessica and Cati were able to come watch the boys play happened to be Carson's birthday. We enjoyed spending the day with them and are so thankful that they came.
Uncle Chris is a police officer in OH and if you ask Carson what he is going to be when he grows up this is what he says. "I am going to live in Ohio and work for the police department with Uncle Chris." We aren't sure if Chris knows he will be working that many more years, but this is the "plan" for now. Carson got the chance to ride with Chris on a night shift a year ago and he LOVED it.
This is a picture that Chris made for Carson to hang on his wall. It includes a picture of the 2 of them by the police car from last year, Chris's first set of hand cuffs, an official badge and a name badge that says C. Stutes - which works for both Chris or Carson. :)
never fear...your brother and sister are here to help get toys out of the packages
It totally amazes me that our boys can have an untold number of Lego sets and still get this excited when they get a new one. It is so fun to watch. Legos have begun to take over their room.
How do you define a mother's love??? By lovingly and without grumbling (or mocking) making a football cake with 2 teams that I don't care for. I dutifully decorated Teddy Grahams to look like Michigan State and Ohio State players and didn't even slip in a Wolverine player anywhere on the field.
Happy Birthday Carson...We love you so much and enjoy watching you grow!
