Cooper turned 6 last week and we started the morning off with a few gifts.
Later in the day we went to Craig's Cruisers
since we weren't having his party until this week, we didn't have cake on his actual birthday, but who says you can't put candles in ice cream.
now...his birthday party
There are a few lego sets that Cooper has had his eye on for a long time. He looks at the boxes in the store every chance he gets and knows all the pieces each set comes with. He talks about them often and dreams about how fun they would be to own. The other day while we were in Target he said, "Mom, did you know that the Forest Police Lego set is here on the shelf? It is just waiting to be buyed." It was so fun to hear him say that because I had already "buyed" it for him and he didn't even know it.
When the boys saw the wrapped package, Cooper said, "Carson, what if it is the Forest Police set?" Carson responded by saying he didn't think the box was the right size and Cooper said, "yes it is." I knew that Cooper knew what was in the box because I know he has calculated the size of each of the boxes of the sets he really wants.
Here he is as he was opening it...
lego theme...of course
