Carving pumpkins

We carved pumpkins at my parents again this year. The boys really got into it this time and had lots of fun.

Not everyone got in on the action...

Carson earned a penny for doing this. Jess told him that if he cleaned out the inside of his pumpkin (which he has always been grossed out by) then she would pay him a whole penny. He was very excited and ended up enjoying the feel of the slim inside the pumpkin.

After we got the front of Cooper's pumpkin finished he worked very hard on making a face on the back. It was serious work and worked at it for a long time.

Jess found a picture of a cat that she wanted to carve and free handed it from the picture on her phone. I was very impressed because I needed a pattern and even then it wasn't all that great.
